Participating in a Board Meeting

The Surrey Police Board recognizes that public participation in its processes enhances the responsiveness of SPS to community priorities and concerns. Anyone wishing to offer comment on items that will be considered for decision by the Board at a regular meeting may register to do so by emailing info@surreypoliceboard.ca. 

Members of the public who watch the meeting through the Board’s online livestream may email their comments or questions to info@surreypoliceboard.ca. The Executive Director will provide your feedback to the Board Chair at the meeting.

The opportunity for public comments will be scheduled to occur prior to decision items being called forward for debate and voting by directors. If there is more than one decision item on the agenda, the Board Chair will call for comment on each item in the order it appears on the agenda. Individuals may comment on more than one decision item, and they will be given up to two minutes to provide their comment per decision item.

Comments unrelated to decision items on the meeting agenda may be ruled out of order.
